Broiled Asparagus with Lime

I made this recipe last night and was reminded of this simple way to prepare asparagus.  I probably make it once a week.  This pairs nicely with grilled meats.

You will need:  a bunch of asparagus or quantity needed, olive oil, 1/2 fresh lime, salt and pepper – that’s all!  Try it, even if you think you don’t like asparagus.

Preheat broiler.  Trim tough part of asparagus stalks.  Arrange in a single layer on a baking sheet.  Drizzle lightly with olive oil.  Season with salt and pepper.  Broil for about 5 minutes, checking frequently to avoid burning.  Squeeze the juice of 1/2 lime on top.  Serve and enjoy.  Please share your quick recipes with all of us.  I get a lot of requests for easy stuff.  The top reason people give me for not eating many vegetables is “they take too long.”  It doesn’t have to be that way.  Your comments will help.  Thanks!

  1. I this receipe a try and it turned out very nicely. I do like asparagus but wanted to try something different. The lime juice added a nice dimension.

I also tried the fish receipe (since it was like right below this one) and that one turned out just as nicely.

    Thanks!
