Lamb Isn’t Just For Irish Stew

I came across an article today in Bon Appetit about the benefits of lamb.  Perfect timing, after posting a recipe for Irish Lamb Stew for St. Patty’s Day.  Did you know that lean cuts of lamb have only about 72-85 milligrams of cholesterol (about the same as chicken)?  It is high in protein, zinc,  and vitamin B12.  You can find tender lamb with good flavor year-round – free of hormones and cage-free.  Use it as you would beef:  ground as burgers, broiled, roasted, grilled, or baked.  It’s time to get out of the beef rut!
