If you had calorie information for restaurant food, would you make different choices? I know there are people who look at restaurant eating as a time to eat whatever they want, to cast aside any “rules” they may have been trying to follow. I also hear others say that they wish they knew more about what’s in their food when they eat out.
We may have more information available in the future, to use or to ignore. The health bill contains requirements for calorie labeling on chain restaurant menus, menu boards, and drive through boards, as well as vending machines. This would allow the public to make more informed choices – if they so choose.
All of this makes me wonder what YOU would do with greater access to nutrition information at restaurants. Would it make a difference in what you order? Be honest and register your vote below. This could be interesting!
